Millfield Senior School for pupils aged 13-18

About Millfield Development

Bequests

One of the most significant ways of helping the school in the long term is through inclusion of Millfield in your Will. For many it is more convenient to defer a gift to the school in this way but we do want you to seek independent advice and consider your family in the first instance. Your indication of support through a bequest may be to express gratitude or loyalty; to enhance the school facilities for future generations; to perpetuate a beloved name or help to provide opportunities for students in the future. The choice is yours.

Making a bequest in a Will is a tax efficient method of giving, as it is free of inheritance tax and can greatly benefit the process of estate planning. There are several ways in which a legacy donation can be made when writing or amending your Will, and we can advise and discuss options with you if you feel you would like some guidance.

One way the school can recognise and thank those who have included Millfield in their Will, is to extend membership to an exclusive bequest group. Membership is discreet and while this is an ideal way to say thank you in your lifetime, we also acknowledge and perfectly understand those who prefer to remain anonymous. An annual event is held every year to thank those who are making a financial contribution towards the future of Millfield.
