Millfield raises money for ShelterBox

Pupils and staff have raised over £2000 for the charity ShelterBox during a recent Mufti Day at the school. This money will be used by ShelterBox, to respond instantly to natural and manmade disasters by delivering boxes of aid to those who are most in need. Each box supplies an extended family of up to 10 people with a tent and essential equipment to use while they are displaced or homeless. Each ShelterBox costs around £490 which includes materials, packing and storage.

As well as organizing the recent Mufti day, pupils are continuing to support the charity with proceeds from a Sixth Form Hop.
