Duel success on the slopes for Millfield Ski Teams
Millfield Ski Teams have returned from Meiringen, Switzerland, and Flaine, France, where they competed at The British Schoolboys Championships and The British Schoolgirls Championships.
The twelve strong team captained by Charlie Lickiss, competed in the British Schoolboy Championships in Meiringen, Switzerland. Congratulations must go to Richard Goldsworthy, coming third in the Giant Slalom. His success put down to his rather unusual tactic of sleeping in his racing bib! The Slalom competition although run in terrible conditions proved favourable for Toby d'Ambrumenil who won his age group, Junior II and Ski Team Captain Charlie Lickiss finished in the top ten of his Junior I age category. Millfield received silver for the overall competition.
Competing in the British Schoolgirl Championships in Flaine, France. Millfield girls matched the success of the boys team. Special congratulations must go to Charlotte Hagemann who won three gold medals for the unregistered slalom, giant slalom and combined prize.
