Millfield 3 go to NYT
Three Millfield pupils have been selected to take part in the National Youth Theatre (NYT) in August. Jamie MacDonald, Tom Wilmot-Josife and Kyle Foreman were chosen after a rigorous audition process and will be joining the ranks of previous attendees such as Daniel Craig, Dame Judi Dench and Daniel Day Lewis.
Jamie MacDonald said "the NYT will give me a professional taste of the theatre and will take me outside of my comfort zone".
Marc Cooper, Director of drama, is absolutely delighted and said that the NYT offers pupils an "outstanding prospect, taking them out of what we offer here at Millfield and giving them new opportunities and connections".
The NYT founded in 1956 is committed to the creative, personal and social development of young people though the medium of creative arts; giving them a unique platform to learn skills under the guidance of professionals.
