GCSE pupils gain glorious grades
A total of 227 Millfield pupils took a range of 37 different subjects at GCSE level this year and we are delighted that 14% achieved A* grades. An outstanding 97% of pupils achieved 5 or more A*-C grades, with 26 pupils achieving 10 or more A* or A grades.
There were outstanding individual results for Shane Longpre who added 11 A*s to an already impressive Italian "A" AS Level grade from a previous year.
Madeleine (Maddie) Wilkins from Bristol achieved 9 A*'s, 1 A and 1B. Maddie, who is returning to Millfield for the sixth form, was part of the U16 National Netball finalists and is also a keen hockey player.
Bruno Banks from Glastonbury is delighted with 8A*s, 1A and 1B and has been enjoying a well earned rest before he returns to Millfield's sixth form.
Beatrice Wood achieved 3A*'s and 8A's. Beatrice, who has attended Millfield since Pre Preparatory, is a dedicated music scholar and participates in concerts and recitals throughout the school year.
