Millfield footballers selected for ISFA national team
Six footballers from Millfield have been selected to represent the Independent Schools Football Association national team.
Louis Downing and Dominic Webb were both selected for the U18 side whilst Carlo Mole and Will Godmon will be part of the U16 set-up.
Somerton brothers James and Matt Golby have also made the U18 and U16 sides respectively.
The six players impressed during trials at Repton School last Sunday, where they were put through their paces by national selectors.
Millfield Head of Football Terry Akhurst said: "I'm really pleased for the six players as they've done exceptionally well to be selected for the squads.
"They're all great footballers who have put in a lot of hard work and the selection is a reward for their dedication this year."
Both teams will play their first match on Monday 12th December. The U18s are in action against Leeds University and the U16 will be up against Shropshire Schools.
There will be further matches next year and, in April, the U18 squad will go on a tour to Portugal.
