Diverse destinations for Sixth Form

Millfield Sixth Form pupils have received offers to study at prestigious institutions throughout Britain and the world.

Five pupils have conditional places at Oxbridge, with the Millfield Maths department extremely pleased to see Xiofei Peng and Yadu Baghera receive offers to read Mathematics at Oxford, with Rhys Cumming opting for Maths and Philosophy.

Two local pupils earned offers from Cambridge. Max Baxter-Allen, from Glastonbury, is hoping to read Mathematics, and a conditional offer to study Modern Foreign Languages was made to Baltonsborough pupil Amy Clough.

More than 130 other pupils are heading to Russell Group Universities throughout the UK, while a further 32 have applied to the United States, three to Canada, and a number of others to universities in their home country.

So far eight pupils have received offers from Ivy League universities, and Diya Kumar has been offered a Squash scholarship to Columbia University, New York.
