Olympic Silver for Sawyers
Congratulations to bobsleighers Jazmin Sawyers, Ollie Biddulph and James Lelliott for their fantastic achievements at the Winter Youth Olympics in Innsbruck, Austria.
Jazmin took silver alongside team-mate Mica McNeill while former pupils Ollie and James came fifth in the boys event, just 0.1 seconds off the podium and 0.27 seconds behind the gold medal time.
Jazmin and teammate Mica O'Neill were initially fourth after their first run, but a time of 1:51.95 was enough to secure the silver on their second run.
"This is the most exciting thing we've ever done," said Jazmin after the medal ceremony.
"Even to be part of the games is an incredible experience, and to come and actually win a silver medal is incredible, it's the highlight of my life."
"Hopefully we can lead the way for more medals later in the year."
