At Millfield, Accountancy is steeped in real world examples, making it relevant and stimulating, and its relevance should not be underestimated. After all, Accountancy impacts on our lives and an understanding of its concepts gives pupils a keener understanding of what makes businesses work and profitable.
Most degrees in Business or Management include an Accounting module, so an A-Level in the subject gives business-minded pupils a great head start. Academically strong students find that Accounting complements a wide range of subject combinations.
Equally, our department can get the best out of pupils who struggle with traditional subject combinations. We’ve found that such individuals often gain their best grade in Accounting.
