Our Art facilities
Millfield enjoys unrivalled facilities for Art & Design. Our Fine Art Centre includes:
- 5 north-facing drawing, printmaking and sculpture studios
- 2 dedicated studios for students working on 3D studies
- Printing studio with state-of-the-art presses
- 3 photography studios with darkroom facilities, PCs and Adobe Photoshop software
- High-tech equipment, including Computer Assisted Design, a Rapid Prototype Machine and Membrane Press
- Light and airy gallery foyer, used as an exhibition space for students’ work
In addition to these facilities, all our pupils have access to the Atkinson Gallery which exhibits contemporary works of art and shows students’ work during the Summer Term. We also have a 50 acre Sculpture Park within the school grounds which has around 30 large scale sculptures on permanent display.
