Art A-Level
Who is it for?
Our Art A-Level is accredited by AQA and is ideal for pupils who have already passed Art GCSE and wish to take their Fine Art education to a higher level. It demands a commitment from pupils, beyond timetabled lessons, as they are expected to cultivate their own interests in Art, making use of the school’s extensive resources - such as the Atkinson Gallery, our own comprehensive Art library and further enrichment activities.
Example areas of study:
- Providing clear evidence of sketchbook work demonstrating their personal ideas and development
- The creation of a ‘Visual Diary’ of collected works showing artists that have influenced them, together with evaluations of the artists’ work
