In May, the annual pilgrimage to Slapton Ley Field Centre in south Devon took place as the U6th did the ecology field work required for their exam in June. They had a visit to a local organic farm to see various farming practices, sampled the shingle ridge as an example of succession and the fresh water stream to look at the adaptations of invertebrates to specific conditions within a habitat.
