Academic studies at Millfield Chemistry

Courses

GCSE Chemistry

All pupils study Chemistry as part of the Core Sciences course and can choose to study a separate Chemistry GCSE. Our staff maintain an exciting environment in which pupils can immerse themselves in this fascinating subject.

Pupils sit external examinations for Core Science during the 4th Year. The remaining examinations take place at the end of the 5th Year.

A pupil-centred practical approach is at the heart of all courses. Pupils must undertake investigative and practical skills assessments and assignments. This accounts for 25% of each final GCSE grade.
