ICT across the Curriculum
At Millfield we have embraced the benefits of digital technology in our curriculum and facilities to enhance learning and research.
Every boarding pupil at Millfield has network connections and access to an extranet. All our staff receive regular training in the latest technologies. Every classroom has a data projector, some feature electronic whiteboards. We have also invested heavily in a large number of ICT rooms.
ICT plays a key role in developing independent research skills. To this end the library has 52 networked PCs. In fact all our departments benefit from highly equipped classrooms.
At Millfield we are committed to a sensible evolution; development that balances the best of traditional teaching with the best of technology. So prior to introducing new technology or expanding our existing base, we always first evaluate the potential benefits to our pupils.
