AS-Level

The curriculum has two units both of which are subject to a written exam:

Managing the Physical Environment
Pupils study the physical processes and factors that produce features – the impact of these processes on human activity and how our actions affected them.

Managing the Human Environment
Here we investigate processes that produce a variety of human environments, the principle changes and how we are trying to manage them. AS level consists of two units of assessment 1. Managing the Physical Environment (1.5 hour written paper) 2. Managing the Human Environment (1.5 hour written paper)

A-Level

This comprises the AS units plus two additional units, which involve written papers:

Global Issues
Students identify and quantify issues of global concern. They also study the processes responsible for them and how humans are responding to their consequences.

This unit develops a keen understanding of geographical investigation.
