Welcome to the History Department
At Millfield, History is vibrant and energetic. The department comprises highly experienced teachers who possess an infectious enthusiasm for history. Many of them are in fact examiners and some have had their work published in academic journals.
Alongside classroom study, pupils regularly get closer to history through a range of extra-curricular activities and trips. Among the highlights is the annual Millfield History conference, which attracts a number of leading historians to speak to our students on a range of topics. We are delighted that hundreds of students from schools across the South West join us for the conference each year.
