Welcome to the Media Department
The media plays a huge role in our lives. It shapes opinion, entertains and informs us. Our department’s exceptional environment encourages pupils to immerse themselves in this compelling subject. We combine exceptional facilities with teaching staff who have led successful careers in media.
Who should do it?
Pupils must be creative, keen media consumers and interested in its institutions. Good current affairs and world knowledge are useful too. Due to the level of group work involved, pupils will need good team and research skills. They’ll also require a grade B in GCSE English Language, ideally an A. Similar grades in English Literature are also preferred.
