Our Teaching Staff
Outside specialist music schools, this is one of the UK’s largest Music Departments.
The department benefits from seven full-time members of staff:
• Director of Music - Julian Jensen Bmus (Hons), PGCE, Di RAM
• Assistant Director of Music, Head of Brass, Percussion and Music Technology - Mortimer Rhind-Tutt GRSM ARCM MA
• Head of Keyboard - Jonathan Boyle, Bmus (Hons)
• Head of Strings – Clive Hughes AGSM MA
• Head of Woodwind – Leslie Sheills ARCM
• Class Music Teacher – Adrian Dearden LTCL GTCL
• Academic Music Teacher – Elena Fraser BA MPhil PhD
• Music Department Secretary – Judith Foster
To complement the team we also welcome around 30 visiting teachers.
