A-Level Physics
We combine practical and theoretical work at Millfield. Practical work plays a significant part in the structure of the course. Each pupil must produce a written report on each practical assignment. This helps develop their initiative as well as observation, IT, report writing measurement and analysis skills.
AS-Level Physics
This AQA course consists of three examined modules and a practical examination. As you can see below we provide a comprehensive grounding in Advanced Physics:
• Unit One, Particles, Quantum Phenomena and Electricity
• Unit Two, Mechanics, Materials and Waves
• Unit Three, Investigative and Practical Skills
A2-Level Physics
Rigorous and rewarding A2-Level Physics leads directly on from the AS-Level. It consists of three modules:
• Unit Four, Fields and Further Physics
• Unit Five, Nuclear and Thermal Physics plus Astrophysics
• Unit Six, Investigative and Practical Skills
The course combines practical and written examinations. It is excellent preparation for university courses in Physics.
