Sculptor in Residence Project
The Millfield’s Sculptor in Residence project is an annual competition for entries from artists across the UK and Europe.
The winning entry is awarded a commission and joins us as Sculptor in Residence for six to eight weeks, offering our students and staff a unique opportunity to discuss the work and other issues in the world of Art. The completed commission is then displayed permanently in our extensive Sculpture Park, here in Millfield’s grounds.
Sculpture Tour
Members of the public are welcome to tour the Sculpture Park. A sculpture trail guide is available at the desk of The Atkinson Gallery which is open Monday-Saturday, 9.30am -5pm.
As well as the varied work of our Sculptors in Residence, the Sculpture Park has hosted major exhibitions from international sculptors, including Sir Anthony Caro, Peter Randall Page and Sophie Ryder.
