Millfield has a tradition of excellent productions - having staged a plethora of challenging, innovative and classical theatrical events.
Two major productions a year involve the talents of pupils right across the School. These have included shows as diverse as Shakespeare's ‘Pericles', Bernstein's ‘West Side Story' right through to Kneehigh's ‘Tristan and Yseult', and 'Left Luggage' - a physical piece of theatre exploring the lives of gap-year students.
At Millfield we understand pupils thrive on innovation, diversity and opportunity. So we aim to give all pupils the chance to create exciting and imaginative productions; to live and breathe the theatre.
This year Millfield are proud to be part of the Shakespeare Schools Festival and have made the exciting choice of Macbeth. This national festival brings Shakespeare alive with fantastic opportunities for all those involved. The cast list has just been announced and in November a cast of our finest Shakespearean bards will be taking to the stage in Bristol's Tobacco Factory Theatre. Please visit the future productions page for details on when this performance will take place at our own Meyer Theatre.
