TEACHER OF BIOLOGY
Required from September 2012
We are seeking to appoint a committed and suitably qualified graduate to teach in this dynamic and well-resourced Department. Applicants will be organised and enthusiastic and either be just qualifying or an experienced teacher.
The applicants will be able to offer Biology teaching across the full 13 - 18 age and ability range and will demonstrate a genuine interest in the subject and the way in which it is taught. The successful applicant will also be able to offer Physics or Chemistry to at least GCSE level.

TEACHER OF ECONOMICS
Required from September 2012
We are seeking to appoint a committed, suitably qualified and experienced graduate to teach in this dynamic and well-resourced Department.
The successful applicant will be able to offer Economics to A2 level and will demonstrate a genuine passion for the subject as well as an enthusiasm about the way in which it is taught. Applicants should be interested in sharing good practice and offering new ideas to the schemes of work at every level of the curriculum. A willingness to contribute to the tutorial programme for potential Oxbridge students applying for Economics-related courses would be of interest, as would an ability to assist in developing the use of ICT across the department.

TEACHER OF ITALIAN
Required from September 2012
Temporary, fixed term appointment for one year.
We are seeking to appoint an organised and dynamic teacher, who is either newly qualified or experienced, and able to teach Italian to A level. The successful candidate will have a love of teaching to all ability levels, from 13 to 18 years of age, and use modern methods to deliver focussed lessons with a wide variety of activities. The ability to offer Spanish or French to at least GCSE is essential.

TENNIS PERFORMANCE COACH
With immediate effect Millfield School is seeking a creative and energetic Performance Tennis Coach to join the team in our renowned tennis programme.
Millfield Tennis has a rich history of success from the schools' arena to the development of international players. We are currently replenishing that reputation with a series of initiatives including our squad and coaching structure, tournament play, overseas links and aspirations to be a performance centre. We have outstanding indoor and outdoor facilities, and an integrated programme of player scholarships, education and support.
The successful Coach will lead the coaching and planning of the senior boys and girls performance squads, including their individual tournament and team schedules, to help position Millfield at the forefront of tennis development. They will have successful experience in performance tennis, with either a Senior Performance Coach Award (or higher), or international playing experience, and excellent knowledge of long-term player development. They will be creative and forward thinking, and an excellent communicator.
This is an outstanding opportunity to work in one of the UK's preeminent sporting environments among a vibrant team of multisport coaches. Remuneration is £26,532 plus pension, day-time meals, professional development support, 10 weeks holiday per year, and capacity for private-lesson income.

Non Teaching Vacancies
MECHANIC
Millfield School is looking to recruit a Mechanic to join their busy Grounds department on a permanent basis. The successful applicant must have a good understanding of agricultural and grounds equipment maintenance.
Main duties will be the servicing machinery including a fleet of lawnmowers for both the Senior and Preparatory Schools, as outlined in the job description.
The person appointed will be required to work an average of 39 hours per week through the year.

PLUMBER
8.00am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday
Millfield Estates Department require a full-time Plumber for immediate start to carry out the installation and repair of plumbing and domestic/commercial heating systems, and to undertake the planned maintenance and minor repair of ventilation. You will also be required to attend out-of-hours emergency maintenance call outs. You must hold a minimum of NVQ Diploma (Levels 2 and 3) in plumbing and domestic heating, or equivalent. In addition, you must be Gas Safe Registered and hold valid ACS modules in CCN1 and CEN1 as a minimum. Holding an N/SVQ Level 3 Engineering discipline and BTeC NC/D would be an advantage.

POOL FACILITY MANAGER
Full-time with some unsocial hours including weekends
This is an exciting and challenging role for a selfmotivated individual able to plan and carry through ideas and demonstrate initiative. Managing both the Millfield 50m pool and the Millfield Preparatory School 25m pool, your duties will include managing staff and training, as well as coordination of all wet events and courses. In addition you will work closely with the Enterprise team and will be expected to help with a certain number of dry events throughout the year.
