Mill House is a very friendly and supportive place located in the heart of the school campus. It takes its name from a former boarding house. Mill relocated to a new building in September 2010, with brand new facilities including games, a TV area, a kitchen, study room with computers and art displays.

As a Day House, Mill provides its boys with a great sense of community, belonging and friendship. There is a terrific mix of personalities and talent.

Phil Cookson has been boarding houseparent for 6 years and day houseparent for 21 years. He teaches Geography and is also tutor in charge of golf and gap year work. Prior to joining Millfield Phil taught in Bromyard, Herefordshire.

Outside school, Phil's interests include travel/trekking, golf, cricket, soccer, steam trains and growing his own food.
