Achievements
The season produced a number of positives and it is clear that football is fast becoming one of the strongest sports at Millfield. The 1st XI won the U18 English Schools’ National competition and were runners up in the ISFA Cup. The 2nd XI came runners up in Somerset County Cup and the U14 A won the Somerset County trophy for their age group. So far this season, the 1st team won the ISFA National six-a-side competition.
We have had several representations at both County and ISFA level and were pleased to see Ben Lewis get selected for the English Schools team and play at Wembley last year. Davey, Stewart, Lewis, Harrison Dunk, Jack Minshaw and Arthur Yates were selected for the ISFA team and Callum Stewart was voted ISFA Player of the Year. Davey, Stewart, Lewis, Minshaw, Dunk, Othman Abdulkadir, Shane Smith and Johnny Moss played for the Somerset County team and Ricky Davey voted Somerset County Player of the Year.
A number of our leavers have made successful moves to American universities where they will continue their football.
Ben Lewis is trialling at Cardiff City, Arthur Yates at Southampton FC and Callum Stewart at Rangers FC.
