Who can take part?
Every pupil can play hockey at Millfield; boy or girl, experienced or inexperienced, Millfield prides itself on meeting the needs of all. Every player has access to our world class facilities, and expert tutelage from our team of coaches. Over the years Millfield has invested heavily in the sport, and now has some of the best facilities in the world. Such is the standard that many international teams use Millfield as their training camp before large tournaments.
What’s involved?
Hockey is played two terms a year, with full fixture lists that include games against schools across the region. The 1st XI faces consistently strong opposition, including university sides such as Exeter, Bath and the University of the West of England. Each hockey team benefits from its own coach and elite players benefit from specialised coaching, physiological training and video analysis.
