Karate
Millfield produces a high standard of Karate student; every year pupils are taken to the level of black belt. We have two fully qualified coaches who are members of the British Traditional Karate Association, who teach pupils in a Wado-Ryu based style called Washinkai. We hold both open and squad sessions, and aim to introduce and develop pupils of all ages and ability to Karate. Each term pupils have the opportunity to grade, whilst the School has recently proposed a new tournament for other independent schools to be held at Millfield.
The purpose built Martial Arts Dojo forms part of the Tennis Hall Sports Complex and adjoins the Fencing Salle. It is fully equipped with mats.
