Millfield brothers make history at Squash Championships
Millfield Lower Sixth Form pupil Marwan Elshorbagy won the U17 final of the British Junior Open Squash Championships at Sheffield 3-1 in the first week of January. This was his first British Junior Open title.
At the same event, his brother Mohammed Elshorbagy, who left Millfield last year to study at the University of the West of England, won the U19 final, making them the first brothers to win titles in the same year - an outstanding achievement for both of them! This was Mohammed's third consecutive title, and his fifth in total. It was also his last ever match in his junior career, so a fantastic result to end on.
In fact, it was a clean sweep for the 40-strong Egyptian team as they won all eight titles at the event!
