Millfield show jumpers 3rd at prestigious Hickstead
The National Schools Show Jumping Championships at the world famous All England Jumping Arena at Hickstead is the highlight of the Inter-Schools equestrian calendar. This year Millfield entered 4 senior school teams, 1 prep school team and a team from our US Exchange visitors. The competition runs over 2 rounds and a clear round (or very low score) is required in the first round for the teams to progress to the International Arena for the Finals. In the Senior School class there were 70 teams of 3 riders and 22 teams in the Junior School class. After some excellent performances from our Senior and Junior School riders, the results were as follows:-
Millfield Senior School team - Senior finals - 3rd with 12 faults
Henni Hine riding ‘Zilona'
Teddy Stevens riding ‘Kannans Gold'
Sarah Weaving riding ‘Raucous Applause' - Sarah was also placed 3rd individually
Millfield Prep School team - Junior Finals - 2nd with 8 faults
Kathryn O'Sullivan riding ‘Narnia' - Kathryn was also placed 2nd Individually
Charlotte East riding ‘Ashford Star' - Charlotte was also placed 3rd individually
Bonnie Leheup riding ‘Tessa'
