Millfield tennis player competes in British Tour event
Millfield tennis player Simon Pritchard reached the second round of the Men's British Tour Grade One event at Taunton last weekend where he reached the second round.
After receiving a wildcard entry into the tournament, Simon defeated highly-rated Charlie Crisp 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 before exiting the tournament in the next round.
During the tournament he played some impressive tennis and caused many problems for his two opponents.
Millfield tennis coach Phil Thomas said: "Simon exceeded expectations in this tournament with an amazing victory in the first round.
"The experience will help him to develop as a player and it gives him a great platform to build on."
