Girls excel at National Indoor Hockey Championships
The girls U16 hockey team enjoyed a successful weekend, reaching the semi-finals at the Schools National Indoor Hockey Championships in Worcester.
Millfield narrowly lost a tight, competitive match 1-0 to Bromsgrove. They had earlier progressed from their group with one draw and three wins, including a 6-0 thrashing of Malvern, to top the group unbeaten.
Ffion Thompson finished second-highest goalscorer with an impressive seven in five games, and Katya Slater played superbly in goal - the team had the best defence of the tournament, having conceded the least number of goals.
