Normally our on-campus Open Days, which we hope to offer again as soon as is possible, include a welcome by the Headteacher and pupil led tours around the campus, followed by lunch and a chance to meet staff. Throughout the afternoon, you are welcome to watch sport/activities at your leisure.
The above is now in accordance with Covid restrictions which we will update you with at the time of booking and before the event.
Book an individual visit or virtual meeting
We offer individual school tours during term time and during holiday periods, as well as taster visits for prospective pupils. We are also delighted to offer remote visits for families who are unable to visit the school in person. If you wish to book a visit, please do not hesitate to contact the Admissions Department on firstname.lastname@example.org or +44 1458 832446
After receiving a reference from your child's current school we will contact you to arrange a time for your child to complete their interview and assessment, either at Millfield Prep or remotely.,
All pupils joining Millfield Prep have an entrance interview with the Head of Year or Tutor for Admissions. This will last around 15 minutes and centre on the academic interests of the candidate, their extra-curricular activities and experiences. Pupils may also meet with key pastoral staff.
Following interview, candidates will usually sit a computer-based reasoning assessment. The assessment can usually be completed remotely and further details are available from the Admissions department. Pupils with support needs will meet staff from the Learning Development Centre.
Joining instructions and house placement information
In the term before entry, usually by the end of May, we will send the full Joining Instructions containing detailed information, including House placements and links to forms that will require completing and returning. House allocations will usually be sent by the end of June.
