Boarding in the Sixth Form at Millfield is brilliant as I have maximum opportunity to study hard for my A levels while keeping up the intensity of my netball training at the same time. I decided to join Millfield as I was travelling far for matches and training several times a week which was very time consuming and I was finding it hard to balance sport with my academics. At Millfield everything is in one place.

My favourite thing about Millfield is the real sense of community in every aspect of school life. There are so many students from across the world, who come together to bring their own passions and attributes to the school. Whether it's playing sport, music or in academic studies, everyone gives it their all. In addition, social and other events are highlights for me as I love doing fun things with friends.

I have a wide range of interests, evident in my A level choices of maths, geography and art. I’m not certain of my career path yet, so I chose each subject purely because I enjoy them with a view to keeping my options open for the future.

"The facilities in each department are great, and my teachers are really supportive and encouraging, which has been so beneficial for my learning."

I especially love working in the art department with its endless supply of paints and different mediums, making it so easy to get your ideas on canvas.

At Millfield, I play 1st team netball through the winter and spring terms, competing in various competitions and tournaments at regional and national level. Playing in a team has taught me the values of hard work and collaboration, and also importantly the chance to enjoy fun moments with good friends. I have been able to improve my netball so much since I joined Millfield, due to the fantastic coaching we receive and playing with talented players. We all really support and encourage one another. Being at Millfield has also given me the opportunity to dive into other sports such as tennis in the summer term, as well as participating in inter-house events such as hockey and football which are lots of fun.

My hope for the future is to go to university to study geography, and to continue playing netball at a high level.
