Make a Gift

Millfield is an approved institution with the British Schools & Universities Foundation (BSUF), a charitable organisation with 501(c)(3) status. This ensures that donations from US tax payers to Millfield are tax deductible.

To make a donation via cheque, please complete and return a Donor Transmittal Form.

When donating via this method, please remember to specify Millfield School as the approved institution you would like to benefit from your gift. The notation on the cheque should indicate your name, Millfield School and which ongoing project you would like to support.

Alternatively, you can securely donate by credit card via Network for Good (please see here for more information). When donating via this method, please remember to specify Millfield School as the approved institution you would like to benefit from your gift. Please also specify which ongoing project you would like to support, by adding this to the 'I want my donation to be dedicated to' section. You can set a one-time or recurring donation. Network for Good will deduct 3% from your donation for processing, or you can opt to cover this in your donation. Note that when gifts are made online, your receipt for tax purposes will come from Network for Good. Because of this charge and because it takes one to two months for donations to get to BSUF, credit card donations are best for gifts under $1,000. Donations over $1,000 are best made by sending a cheque directly to BSUF.

Company Gift Matching Schemes:

Many companies will match an individual employee’s gift to a charity, it's an easy way to double your contribution to us!  If your company offers this scheme to enable employees to support Millfield School, please inform the Foundation Office. Find out more about the scheme here.

If you are a European resident, you may be able to maximise your gift through Transnational Giving Europe (TGE).

This is a collaborative giving scheme offered by a partnership of European foundations. It enables donors (both corporations and individuals) resident in one of the participating countries to offer financial support to non-profit organisations in other member countries. Beneficiaries benefit directly from the tax advantages provided for in the legislation of their country of residence.

Millfield Foundation is currently able to receive donations from TGE partners in a wide number of European countries listed here.

How to make a donation 

A step-by-step guide to giving through TGE: 

• Contact the relevant TGE partner organisation in your country

• The organisation will give you details on how to give (donation forms, etc) 

• The TGE partner in your country will transfer the donation to Millfield Foundation, minus a fee 

• Following your donation made, TGE will send you a donation certificate which will allow you to benefit from any tax deduction allowed under the laws of your country
