What I really like about Millfield Prep is the teaching, both of academic subjects and the co-curricular activities. The teachers make all of the lessons interesting and so you have fun in all your lessons, even the ones you didn’t think that you liked! I also enjoy playing sports and this is an excellent school to help me to do that.

It’s so great that we get the opportunity to Event, because not all Prep Schools have the facilities for you to do the trainingI ride my pony Mr Ed four times a week and go to competitions at the weekend. My favourite thing to do is Eventing, because I love all the elements of the competition. It’s so great that we get the opportunity to Event, because not all Prep Schools have the facilities for you to do the training. We’ve got a specially designed cross-country course, which really helps to prepare us for competitions. We also use the Senior School’s equestrian facilities, which are amazing. The riding instructors here are brilliant and have really improved both my technique and confidence.

My houseparents have helped me to become more independentMy riding coach, Mrs Newman, has helped me improve my riding so much. I have been to competitions with her and I have so much fun. I think she is the best riding coach and a really good person.

The other people who have completely changed my Millfield Prep experience are my houseparents, Mrs Close and Mr Close. They have helped me to become more independent and they really want all the boys in Edgarley Manor to be kind. I really appreciate what they do for me.
