Millfield School is seeking an exceptional Athletics Development Coach who will play a vital role in supporting the Head of Athletics to shape and execute our Athletics strategy and objectives.
In the position of Athletics Development Coach, you will have the rewarding responsibility of providing year-round coaching to student-athletes at Millfield School. The successful candidate will be able to coach across a minimum of two event groups, and plan annual training and competition schedules.
To thrive in this role, it is imperative that you hold a minimum qualification of a UK Athletics level 2 coaching award in two event groups (i.e. Jumps and Speed) and have a commitment to your long term development as a coach. Additionally, you must have experience of coaching athletes to the English Schools Championships level (or equivalent). Experience in coaching at an international schools' level will also be advantageous.
This role requires a commitment of 42 hours per week, encompassing the days from Monday to Saturday during term time, with occasional Sunday’s required to support competition. Furthermore, an additional 4 weeks of work will be expected during school holidays. In exchange for your dedication, you will be rewarded with a salary of £25,757.76 per annum (inclusive of holiday pay).

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Course & Events Co-ordinator to join the Millfield Enterprise team, the commercial arm of Millfield School.
As a Trainee DSL, you will assume a senior role, actively engaging with Enterprises events and courses to address safeguarding concerns. You'll provide invaluable advice and support to staff, collaborating with the Local Authority and various agencies when needed. Your close partnership with the Enterprises team and wider Millfield School safeguarding team will ensure that robust safeguarding processes and procedures are implemented and followed diligently. You will also liaise with staff during non-term time, offering guidance on safety and safeguarding matters, including online and digital safety. Your expertise will be indispensable when making referrals and acting as a source of support and advice for all staff.

The Millfield Development Office is at an exciting stage of its growth as it looks to play an increasingly central role in the long-term sustainability of the school. With ambitious plans to significantly grow our Endowment Fund ahead of our 100th anniversary in 2035, we are now looking for an experienced development professional to help us achieve our aim and position Millfield as a market leader in the provision of transformational bursaries.
Although the successful candidate will undoubtedly have experience across a breadth of income streams, we are looking for a highly motivated individual with experience of working within a high value fundraising / income generating team. Although experience of operating within the education or broader charity sector would be advantageous, candidates with substantial experience of working in an external facing role in a results driven environment (e.g. fundraising, sales, marketing, recruitment) would also be of interest.
Working closely with the Head of Alumni & Foundation, the Development Manager will be responsible for driving high value revenues across multiple income streams including legacies, events, and corporate philanthropy. In addition to which, this role will focus on driving income from entrepreneurial initiatives aimed at driving revenues into the Foundation via a platform which effects introductions within the alumni and parental communities between entrepreneurs and potential investors - private, institutional and venture capital.
This is full-time role 5 days a week, year-round, with a salary of up to£45,000 per annum. Some weekend and evening work will be required as an integral part of the role is meeting potential and existing donors. The role is primarily based at Millfield, with some travel within the UK and potentially some overseas travel.

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable RSE Nurse to join our team at Millfield School. The successful candidate will have a responsibility to provide medical knowledge on anatomy, STIs, and pregnancy during RSE presentations in boarding house groups. Additionally, they will need to stay up to date with current health trends and updates in this area related to sexual health within the RSE team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safeguarding children is the responsibility of all members of Millfield staff.
• Present the RSE programme to individual house groups with RSE tutors.
• Assist the Medical Centre in keeping the RSE resource boxes in good order and fully replenished (i.e. condoms for practical demonstrations).
• Attend RSE team meetings held twice a year and any training required within the RSE team. Be willing to lead part of the training on current trends if needed.
• Co-ordinate regularly with the HOD RSE and advise on trends/issues/feedback from sessions.
• Participate in small group work on intimacy/use of porn and other current themes in YP sexual health during RSE sessions.
• Any other duties that your line manager sees fit, providing that such duties are appropriate to your role.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Registered Nurse with a current nursing license.
• Experience working in RSE, sexual health, or related fields.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• Ability to deliver effective presentations and facilitate group discussions.
• Up-to-date knowledge of sexual health, contraception, and STI prevention.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance on RSE in schools.

Millfield School is seeking a qualified accountant who may be looking for their first move from practice into an industry role.
As the Financial Accountant your responsibilities will start with a few core areas which will expand as your experience increases. Key areas will include:
- Responsibility for preparation of annual financial statements, working with auditors and producing other statutory returns; taking responsibility for Millfield Foundation and Millfield Retirement Benefit Scheme.
- Assist the Financial Controller in providing a Finance Business Partner service to budget holders across both schools and the Enterprise businesses, so they better understand their budgets, spend, commitments and the financial impact of project initiatives.
- Responsibility for the preparation of Millfield Foundation quarterly papers.
- Assist the financial controller with the governance and oversight of Millfield’s defined benefit pension scheme, communicating with the schemes pension administrators and Trustees.
- Assist financial controller with annual budget preparation process.
- Develop improved Balance sheet and Cashflow reporting.
- Review and management of financial procedures and controls for all Millfield entities.
The ideal candidate for this position will be newly qualified and/or within their first two years of post-qualifying experience. Experience of producing statutory and management accounts, financial analysis and literate excel skills is essential. Experience or knowledge of implementing financial systems and charity accounts would also be beneficial. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a International Business Development Manager (BDM) to join the Millfield Enterprise team, the commercial arm of Millfield School.
The BDM is responsible for generating new sales leads and channels for the industry renowned Millfield English Language Holiday Course (MELHC). As BDM you will manage all aspects of the sales cycle including managing new and existing relationships with top agents, schools, and direct individuals. You will attend meetings, industry events, and other networking opportunities to promote MELHC (online, in person UK and Worldwide), whilst driving the MELHC Sales Team to deliver the required business levels and achieve annual targets. You will also have an active involvement in safeguarding for Enterprise led courses.
What sort of hours will I work and what does the role pay?
You will generally work office hours Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, however some evening and weekends may be required. During holiday periods you will work as per business demand, including the requirements of a busy summer school. In return you will receive a salary of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum (dependant on experience), generous holiday entitlement, freshly prepared lunches for just £10 per month, access to the school facilities, and discounts/cashback on high street shops and restaurants through the school’s Employee Assistance Programme.
The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of and experience with the sales process and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in proactive corporate sales. They will excel at lead generation, relationship building, and closing deals, and preferably have some experience of an educational setting.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of enquiries and sales for MELHC.
- Attending client appointments, online, face to face within the UK and Overseas.
- Attending industry exhibitions to represent MELHC, within the UK & Overseas.
- Grow the customer prospect pool and generate profitable sales leads from individual clients, direct schools and agent Sales and progress to fruition.
- Managing the MELHC team, working with them on direct individuals, direct schools, and agent sales contracts, appointments and growing the MELHC annual target.
- Monitoring monthly PACE against annual target.
- Hosting team meetings, reviewing the business and PACE, setting team agenda.
- Assess enquiries from new agents in assigned market.
- Manage communication with direct individuals, direct schools, and agent sales in assigned market in close cooperation with Marketing team.
- Create opportunities for sales meetings and presentations in the UK and overseas on behalf of Millfield English Language Holiday Course.
- Provide MELHC Team with all necessary information to ensure processing of bookings within service level agreement expectations.
- Support MELHC Team with processing bookings and responding, email, phone and WhatsApp enquiries as required.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of all MELHC products and services.
- Produce records client’s meetings, sales visits, meetings, and activity with clients on Class.
- Attend weekly catch-ups and monthly market updates with Sales Manager.
- Other activities as required.
KPIs:
- Grow total revenue in line with annual targets.
- Generate cold and warm leads and progress as appropriate.
- Liaise with colleagues re incoming clients for MELHC.
- Maintain up-to-date CRM records on Class.
- Make corporate visits on behalf of MELHC, attending meetings and industry exhibitions, in the UK and Overseas.

We are currently looking for individuals with cleaning experience (or a willingness to learn) to join our cleaning team.
We have a range of hours available at both our Street and Glastonbury sites. Housekeeping Cleaners will be responsible for cleaning an allocated area which may be classrooms, offices, sport and art facilities, boarding houses or other school buildings.

Due to the nature of the role the hours of work for most positions can be flexed to meet the requirements of the successful candidate.
Boarding House cleaning hours –
3 hours per day, Monday – Friday, and 2 hours on alternate Saturdays (typically 8.30am-10.30am). This is a year-round post (52 weeks). Start times are flexible between 8.30am and 9.15am. On occasion, you may also be required to work a Sunday during non-term time for which you will receive reasonable notice and a day back in lieu during the week.
