On the European Day of Languages, the children in Key Stage 1 learnt about the different types of bread eaten across the continent. They tasted croissants and brioche from France. They had ciabatta from Italy and pitta bread from Greece. They also had soda bread from Ireland and Polish bread too.
Lessons that day focused on Spain and the children watched some flamenco dancing. Then they made their own handheld fans and did some flamenco dancing of their own.
