Fourteen Millfield Netballers selected into Team Bath Athlete Development Centre

Fourteen Millfield netballers have been selected into the Somerset Team Bath Athlete Development Centre (ADC) for the 2022-2023 season.

The Somerset Academy, which is hosted at Millfield and led by Millfield’s Director of Netball Jenna Adamson, is one of nine Team Bath ADCs based across the South West. The nine centres form the Team Bath Futures Pathway, which provides young aspiring netballers with the best chance to progress through the Team Bath performance pathway into NPL squads and the Superleague.

Millfield’s selections include Lower Sixth Sarah Bugeja, Freya Dunn, Sope Ilelaboye, Sarah Long, Fechi Okafor, Year 11 Sengul Ceylan, Cammie Collins, Amalia Eneanya-Bonito, Year 10 Eva Lawson, Lois Moore, Maeve Murray, Olivia Pitt, Emmie Shipton and Saskia Davies.

Last year, fourteen players of all those selected into the Millfield ADC progressed into the Team Bath U15, U17 U18 and U19 Netball Performance League squads, which saw them compete in fixtures against the best young netballers in the country. Seven of those selected were from Millfield.

Millfield’s Director of Netball, Jenna Adamson, said, “It's wonderful to see another large representation of Millfield students selected into the ADC for the fourth year running. I'm looking forward to following their journeys and watching the athletes progress throughout the season.”

Millfield have a number of specialist Netball staff who are highly experienced coaches and players who are involved in Senior International Squads, the Vitality Netball Superleague, the England Performance pathway, and Premier League Clubs. Millfield annually has athletes representing Superleague franchises across various age groups within the National Performance League and at Superleague.
