May Fair Fun Raises Over £2,250 for Local Charities

May Fair was a fantastic day of fun, community spirit, and creativity. Pupils ran their own stalls with huge enthusiasm, supported by parents, staff, and friends from across the school and local community.

From fire engines and face painting to sponge throwing in the stocks and joyful Maypole dancing from Pre-Prep, the day was filled with highlights. Mr James’ ever-popular ‘Feed Me’ stall was once again a firm favourite!

Thanks to the brilliant efforts of everyone involved, especially the Parents and Friends Association (PFA), we raised an incredible £2,254.01 for local charities. A huge thank you to all who contributed and joined us - it truly was a day to remember.

Old Millfieldian Rufus Lewis (Walton House, 2015–2019) is preparing to take on one of the world’s most demanding endurance events: the World’s Toughest Row - Atlantic - a solo ocean row of more than 3,000 miles from San Sebastián de La Gomera to English Harbour, Antigua.

Rufus is set to race in December 2026, spending weeks at sea in a completely unsupported, self-sufficient crossing. Alone on the ocean, he will manage everything from navigation and weather to repairs, nutrition, and the mental challenge of isolation - all while rowing for up to 18 hours a day.
