Millfield dancers take part in Dance Show 2m2: Adventures in Social Distance

Millfield dancers took part in the annual dance show, a favourite in the Millfield arts calendar.

Taking the current two metre guidelines as the creative inspiration for movement, the latest dance show explored the movement potential of social distancing in a performance that featured a cast of 50 dancers from all year groups. Opening with a solo piece performed in a two metre cube, the show was recorded and streamed live to the Millfield community.

With pieces ranging from contemporary dance to street and commercial styles, the performances showcased the choreographic talents and high-quality performance work of our dance students, who proved they certainly enjoy a creative challenge.

Millfield Dance have had a successful year, having been chosen as a pilot school to teach Rambert Grades. Director of Dance and Drama, Rhian Fox, is currently training new dance coach Robert Guy to teach the grades.
