Millfield Netballer reselected for Wales Senior Squad

Millfield netballer Ella Porter has been reselected into the Wales National Senior Squad for the 2021/22 season.

Sports scholar Ella will play for her home nation for a second year after securing her spot in the 2020/21 season last January. Despite the unusual year, she has benefitted from training alongside influential coaches and players, developing her work ethic alongside her netball skills. Millfield first team defence player Ella boards at Millfield and travels home once a week to train with the Welsh side.

Alongside her demanding netball schedule, Upper Sixth Ella has achieved a place to study Neuroscience at Exeter University, maintaining her studies whilst continuing to work hard to achieve her goal of getting her first Welsh cap.

Ella will be joined by Millfield’s Development coach Celyn Emanuel who has also been selected into the Welsh National Long Squad. Celyn joined the Millfield coaching team in September and will be playing alongside Ella in the national side who are working hard on preparations for the Commonwealth Games next summer. The pair hope to make their first international appearances at the competition which is being held in Birmingham.
