Millfield Pre-Prep Hold Christingle Service

The children in Millfield Pre-Prep were treated to a Christingle service, led by the school chaplain, Reverend Kitto, last week.

All of the pupils enjoyed making the Christingles in their classes, using oranges, fruit, sticks and red ribbon. Everyone loved listening to the story about the first Christingles, singing carols like Away In A Manger and The Christingle Song, lighting the advent candle and reflecting quietly together in the candle light.

The children learnt all about why we make Christingles at Christmas time and the meaning of each of the items used to create a Christingle.
