Millfield Prep musicians perform in virtual Tea and Music Concerts

During the Summer Term, Millfield Prep were delighted to host two Tea and Music Concerts. The relaxed concerts ordinarily take place in the Millfield Prep Recital Hall and provide pupils with performance opportunities in a friendly and supportive setting.

Fourty-four pupils from Years 3-8 presented some outstanding performances in the virtual concerts, which they recorded from their homes all over the world, and were streamed to parents, friends and Millfield Prep staff on YouTube.

A huge variety of instruments were performed including piano, keyboard, violin, harp, flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, voice, drums, trumpet, marimba and glockenspiel.

Pupils were excited to have a virtual performance platform, which allowed them to showcase the skills they have developed during the remote learning period, where Music lessons and instrument tuition has been taking place via Microsoft Teams.
