Millfield Prep musicians sing Happy Birthday to Captain Tom Moore

Members of Millfield Prep's Chamber Choir and Tour Choir have spent their remote rehearsals practising a special song to celebrate Captain Tom Moore’s 100th Birthday.

The pupils learned a two-part arrangement of Over the Rainbow with a rendition of Happy Birthday at the end, not only to wish Captain Tom the happiest of birthdays and say thank you for his incredible efforts in raising funds for the NHS, but also to honour all the amazing NHS and social care workers.

Pupils recorded themselves individually singing their parts at home and the tracks were edited together to create the final performance. Several pupils also made birthday cards for Captain Tom, and these are featured in a video to go alongside the recording.
