Millfield Prep pupil represents Great Britain at World Laser Run Finals

Millfield Prep pupil Eva Dowden represented Great Britain at the World Laser Run Finals in Lisbon, Portugal.

12-year-old Eva, who is in Year 7 at Millfield Prep School, was selected to compete in the U13 category, racing against athletes a year older than her.

Eva flew to Portugal to prepare with the GB team and had an impressive first heat which earned her a place in the final. She finished 11th out of 43 in the final and achieved a great ranking as the first Year 7 Team GB girl over the line.

It was a great learning experience for Eva and provided an opportunity to meet likeminded children from around the world. The hard work continues as Eva is preparing for the European championships in Athens, Greece, next week.
