Millfield Prep pupils perform in The Freedom Project

Pupils from Year 5 at Millfield Prep took part in a virtual version of The Freedom Project.

This was a vocal performance, where the pupils learnt songs that spoke about different fights for freedom including the Suffragettes’ March, Civil Right Medley in memory of Martin Luther King, and a song dedicated to all those who fought in World War I. In June, the pupils were due to link up with the choirs at the Senior School, Elmhurst Junior School, Brookside Academy, and Bath Camerata to perform what promised to be an amazing programme of music. Unfortunately, due to the worldwide pandemic, this had to be postponed. However, rather than let all their hard work be put on hold, all the choirs got together and produced a virtual recording of the final song, The Freedom Finale, which you can watch here.

There are exciting plans to resurrect the project in 2020/2021, which the pupils can't wait to be a part of.
