Millfield Prep School Unites Against Bullying on Odd Socks Day

Pupils at Millfield Prep and Millfield Pre-Prep joined organisations across the UK for Odd Socks Day 2020, wearing mismatched socks to support and raise awareness for Anti-Bullying Week.

Children were taught about the importance of channelling the school value ‘Be Kind’ and how being different is valued at Millfield.

Deputy Head Pastoral, Tracey Hazell said, "It was amazing to see the whole school celebrate differences and individuality by sporting their multi coloured socks. We recognise that everyone is different here at Millfield Prep and believe that it is important to embrace that no one is the same. Respecting each other and being kind is very much part of our school values and ethos. Odd Socks Day gave the children a chance to reflect on this and show us their creative flair."

The Anti-Bullying Alliance strive to make a safe and happy environment for all. They aim to inform students, staff, parents and carers that ‘change starts with us’ and together we can challenge bullying.
