Two Millfield Prep pupils break 1500m school record

Two Millfield Prep pupils have broken the 1500m school record for their age category!

It was a record-breaking day at Millfield Prep School's Inter-House Athletics, as Polly W and Bea S both smashed the current records for their year groups.

Polly was up first, as she cruised through the first 800 meters in the Year 6 race. Polly then raced home to win the medal, but little did she know that she had broken a school record that had been set in 1996!

Next up was Bea in the Year 7 race.

Feeling inspired by Polly's performance, Bea herself had her eyes on the track record. Flying through the first two laps, Bea ended with a time of four minutes and 51 seconds, beating the current record by an impressive 14 seconds!

Both girls can be incredibly proud of their achievements, as they ended this year's Inter-House Athletics in style.
