The youngest children in our Pre-School are the Tadpole group (ages 2-3), before children progress into Frogs (ages 3-4). We also have Tiddlers (aged 2) who join mid-term.
Every child at Pre-School is treated as an individual, encouraging self-confidence, independence and a love of learning through their own interests. Our highly qualified and experienced staff let the children’s interests dictate the topics; one day they could be flying to the moon and the next roaming where dinosaurs once lived.
In addition to weekly Forest School sessions, much of Tadpoles' and Frogs’ learning takes place outdoors, so wellies are a must! Every child has the opportunity to enjoy a weekly swimming lesson in our heated indoor pool. Our dedicated indoor and outdoor spaces also allow for a wide variety of imaginative and sensory activities such as cookery and gardening.
Throughout the year there are several productions that Pre-School are involved in. From Mother's Day and Father's Day services to the Nativity and end of term production - it’s great to welcome parents into Pre-School to present what the children have been learning.
Our Frogs enjoy a weekly French and music lesson, led by specialist staff from the Prep School. Their learning also expands outside of the school, where Frogs go on local trips that link with the children’s favourite topics. Children in our Frogs group are gently introduced to the school routine and are gradually encouraged to become more independent.
We encourage open communication with our parents and share special memories through the Showbie app. Parents can follow for daily updates to discover what their children have been up to.
