Chestnut House boarders visit Shepton Mallet Prison

Boys from Millfield Prep’s Chestnut House visited nearby local landmark Shepton Mallet Prison to learn team building exercises in an escape room.

The boys were checked in and locked up into cells in small groups where they had to solve various puzzles that would help them to escape. Once they were all free, they each took turns to take a ‘cellfie’ in one of the segregations cells.

The guides from the prison then took the boys on a full tour of the site, including showing them the original underground cells dating from 1610, the huge surrounding walls and the Governor’s office.
