International Boarders celebrate Chinese New Year

Our international pupils enjoyed their annual outing to celebrate Chinese New Year.

Our Asian boarders walked through the old street in Frome where they saw all the old houses, lamp posts and old weavers’ cottages before going to a traditional Chinese restaurant for a celebratory meal. The restaurant greeted them with beautifully laid tables finished with a traditional red packet with a chocolate gold coin inside for good luck. The children shared duck pancakes for starter and then chose a delicious meal each. They spent the evening conversing in Chinese and a enjoying an evening out together.
